Fencing Is What We Do Best
Fencing is the heart of Haskins Property Contracting. Every fence we sell is installed by our own crews with our own equipment, which is the single biggest reason our lines stay straight, our gates stay square, and our schedules stay honest. When you call HPC about a fence, you talk to the people who will actually be digging the holes and setting the posts — not a salesman handing your job off to whoever is available that week.
We build for northwest Ohio conditions. Lucas County soil moves, frost heaves posts, and wind coming off the flats puts real load on a tall privacy panel. We set posts deep, use the right concrete and gravel base for the soil we hit, and brace corners and gate posts so a six-foot run still closes cleanly five winters from now. That attention is why so much of our fence work comes from neighbors of jobs we already finished.
Fence Types We Install
Wood privacy fence — cedar and pressure-treated pine in board-on-board, dog-ear, and shadowbox styles. Ideal when you want full privacy, a natural look, and the option to stain or leave it to weather gray.
Vinyl fence — low maintenance and long-lasting, in privacy, semi-privacy, and picket profiles. A great fit for families who never want to paint or seal a fence again.
Chain-link fence — the most cost-effective way to secure a yard, dog run, pool area, storage lot, or commercial property. Available in galvanized or black vinyl-coated with heights from three to eight feet.
Aluminum ornamental fence — a clean, powder-coated look that will not rust, commonly used around pools, front yards, and commercial frontage where appearance matters as much as security.
How a Fence Project Works With HPC
It starts with a free on-site visit. We walk the property line with you, talk through height, style, gate placement, and grade changes, and give you a written price before you commit to anything. If your project needs a permit or an HOA approval, we tell you up front and help you get the paperwork moving.
Before we dig, utility locates get called in. On install day the crew lays out the run with string lines, digs and sets posts, lets concrete cure where the design requires it, then hangs panels, pickets, or fabric and sets the gate hardware. Most residential yards are finished in one to three days. We rake out spoil, sweep hard surfaces, and haul away every scrap of old fence and packaging before we leave.
Fence Repair & Replacement
Not every fence needs to be torn out. We replace snapped posts, re-hang sagging gates, swap damaged panels, and re-stretch loose chain-link. If a storm took out one section of an otherwise solid fence, we will tell you honestly that a repair is the smarter money. When the posts are rotted through and the whole line is leaning, we handle full tear-out and disposal as part of the replacement quote.

Fencing Questions, Answered
How much does a fence cost in Holland, OH?
Cost depends on material, height, total footage, gates, and site conditions such as slope or rock. Chain-link is typically the most affordable option and cedar privacy or aluminum ornamental the most expensive. We give free, itemized written estimates so you can see exactly what you are paying for before you sign anything.
Do you install fences yourself or subcontract the work?
We install every fence in-house with HPC crews and HPC equipment. Nothing is handed off to a subcontractor.
How long does a fence installation take?
Most residential fences take one to three working days once materials are on site. Larger commercial runs and jobs requiring concrete cure time on gate posts can take longer, and we give you a realistic schedule with your estimate.
Do I need a permit for a fence in Lucas County?
Many municipalities in the Toledo area require a permit and some subdivisions require HOA approval. We tell you what your address needs during the estimate and work with you to keep the project compliant.
Do you handle removal of my old fence?
Yes. Tear-out, hauling, and disposal of the existing fence can be included in your quote.
