From Dirt Work to Finish Work

HPC started in the dirt, and site work is still the backbone of what we do. We grade lots, cut and shape swales, install drainage, build gravel drives and equipment pads, prep building sites, and clear brush and debris. Then, because we also frame, fence, and finish, we stay on the job through the parts other excavating outfits hand off.

Site Work & Earthwork

Grading and leveling — correcting slope away from foundations, leveling yards that hold water, shaping lots for new construction, and repairing ruts and washouts.

Drainage — surface swales, downspout extensions, French drains, and culvert work for the flat, heavy soils common across Lucas County, where standing water is more often a grade problem than a soil problem.

Driveways and pads — new gravel drives, regrading and re-stoning of existing drives, parking areas, shed and equipment pads compacted to hold up under load.

Clearing and demolition — brush and tree-row clearing, removal of old slabs, sheds, and derelict structures, and hauling of the resulting debris.
